WINTER ROAD MAINTENANCE

Winter is right around the corner...In preparation, please click the link to review the Township's Winter Road Service Policy. Keep in mind that the Township provides winter maintenance to Township roadways only. State roads are the responsibility of PENNDOT. For snow removal or maintenance issues, contact PENNDOT directly at 1-800-FIX-ROAD or 412-781-3260. For County roads, call Allegheny County Maintenance at 412-350-2490 for snow removal and maintenance issues. Click road list for a complete list of roads and who is responsible to maintain them.

Township roads are serviced by a priority system, based on the amount of traffic flow or their use by school buses. The major arteries are addressed first, secondary roads and developments are then plowed and cul-de-sacs are last because they are not thruways for the majority of motorists.

Should you have any questions, you may contact Tony Barbarino, Director of Public Works at 724-625-1636, Extension 114.
