Volunteers Are Needed!
The
following are the current areas in which volunteers are
needed. If you can give some time, please contact Joni
Patsko at (724) 625-1636 ext.116 or submit your application
online and we will be in touch with you shortly.
- Trail Development
Develop and maintain trails in Pine Community Park and
Pine Haven Park.
- Community Day
Help organize Community Day 2010. Community Day will
be held at Pine Community Park on July 24, 2010. Meetings
will begin in February 2010.
- Adopt-A-Highway
Groups of individuals, scout troops, church groups,
businesses, homeowners associations, organizations,
even individual families can adopt a state road or our
local program "Adopt-A-Pineway" for local
roads & streets.
- Easter Egg Hunt
Help organize Easter Egg Hunt 2010. Meetings will begin
in February, 2010. The Easter Egg Hunt will be held
on March 27, 2010.
- Friends of the Park
Friends of Pine Community Parks is a 501(c) 3 organization
that will provide sports, recreational and social facilities
and activities for the betterment of the community.
Our goal is to raise funds and engage volunteers to
build new facilities and to beautify, maintain and expand
community parklands.
- Litter
Campaign Coordinator
Primary
contact for two litter clean-up campaigns a year in
the Township. One the weekend of Earth Day in April
and the other in the fall. Usually it is scheduled in
September or October.
- Summer Recreation Program
Volunteers needed to help with our summer recreation
program at Pine Middle School.
- Halloween Party in the Park
Groups or organizations interested in participating
in our Halloween Party in the Park will help with various
games, crafts, and activities..
- Farmers' Market
Volunteers are needed to help out with the Farmers Market.
The Market is held at Pine Community Park every Thursday
during the months of May - October.
