The Parks and Recreation Commission consists of 5 to 9 members who serve three-year terms. The Parks and Recreation Director is a member of the Parks and Recreation Commission in an ex officio and non-voting capacity.
The Commission is responsible for the following: periodic review of parks and recreation programs for the purpose of recommending changes, for the development, operation, maintenance and management of parks, park facilities, trails and greenways; organization of, operation of, and volunteer recruitment for recreation programs and community recreation; and for advising the Township Manager, the Board, the Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Parks and Recreation Director on recreation needs, use of facilities and programs and fee structures relating thereto.
